Vacation, Work, Commissions, Galleries, yadda yadda...

It's been a long time since my last posting because of a long awaited and well needed 2 week vacation and the pre-vacation 2 week work crunch to get as much work done as I could beforehand. It was great putting the pencil down for awhile but I must admit, by the end, I couldn't wait to get back to work.

Now that I am back at work, I'm slowly getting caught up on my backlog of commissions and AP's and all the other stuff I need to get done. While I'm thinking of it, Thanks to all that have been patiently waiting for their commissions and approvals. I will be getting to all active commissions before my next gig starts. I do have a secondary commission waiting list with a number of names on it and if there is any time left, I will be digging in to that also. I've had emails inquiring about Vampirella AP's. Yes, I do have them, no I don't know if I will actually have the time to do any, which bugs the hell out of me. If I can get to any, I will post and let everyone know.

Speaking of Vampi, I have now posted all 50 of the cards I did for the incentives in my Sketch Card Galleries section. Enjoy the walk through.

Lots of cool things coming up in the next few months and I'm looking forward to sharing.

Until then...

Double Page X-Men Avengers Commission

Well, I've recently finished up the Inks over Mike Lilly on that oversized Antony & Cleopatra Graphic Novel and have seen some of the colored pages which look awesome. (Nice job Wilson) Among another little unmentionable job I had to fit in, I've finally caught up on a big chunk of work. But before starting my next job, which is already a few weeks beyond my intended starting date, I needed to get a good studio cleaning (next post) and one last commission I've had on my list that I'd intended for late summer.
So here it is, a little late but it always feels so good to get these done.

By request: X-Men vs Avengers, in pencil.

I've begun My Backlog Of Commissions

Yes, It's true! I know many of you probably can't believe it, but it's really true. My apologies to all that have had to wait longer than I hoped or when I said I could get to them. Stuff always seems to come up that your not expecting and always seems to take longer to get done that you would like.  I really need to stop giving quotes as to when the commissions will get done, that's a guarantee I won't be able to do it by the time I say.
Anyway, here's one from the list I can show, an Uncut Silver Age of the Silver Surfer and Family. It's kind of a snapshot of Norrins troubled and tragic past. Featuring Elmar-Radd, Jartan-Radd, Fennan-Radd, and Shalla-Bal with his home planet Zenn-La in the background.

More to come as I get them done and get approvals.

Spider-man Venom Commission Update

Back in April, I posted a bunch of Commissions I did for the Boston ComicCon. One was a 5 x 10 pencil sketch of Venom v Spider-man (shown below). It was a single panel as part of a jam page this guy was putting together and getting various artists to contribute to. He got Norman Lee to ink my panel. Norm got around to sending me a scan of it after he was done and I thought I'd share it.
So here they are, penciled and inked.

Nice to see it all cleaned up without my scribbling all over it.
Thanks Norm!

Another short and sweet.
