Marvel Greatest Heroes Scans

As promised, I've begun posting the scans of all my  Marvel Greatest Hero cards. Not being in the mood to blow my wad all in one shot, I've decided to release 2 -3 pages a day until the official release next week.

I now have all 17 pages in my Marvel Greatest Heroes Sketch Card Gallery posted.

Update: 3/8 - Pages 4, 5, & 6 posted

Update: 3/9 - Pages 7 & 8 posted

Update: 3/10 - Pages 9 & 10 posted

Update: 3/12 - Pages 11, 12 & 13 posted

Update: 3/13 - Pages 14 & 15 posted (Note: It took a little longer to post this as I had to rework some of the pages yet to be posted as I just found out one of my 2002 cards was rejected. "Too much blood" or something to that fact. Oh well.

Update: 3/14 - Pages 16 & 17 posted

It's now out today, so enjoy all the wrapper rippin!

3 - I am not THAT patient.

I think the face on that Hulk card looks like Howard the Duck :)

You're a quack.

I don't know if it's the host site having issues or the solar flares reining down on us but, try as I might, I can't get anything to upload today. I will try again later.

Ahem...

Hey Warren, in the background of the original Kang card you can see Thor through the force field in the center. There appears to be two other silhouettes - I thought it was Cap's shield up top, but then the star down low confused me, since that would be his chest...

Giant man - Thor - Cap

Just out of curiosity, what was the "too bloody" card showing?

March 23, 2012 | Unregistered Commenteractivitydoctor

It was a Namor card, pretty much right from the pages of the Avengers issue from that year I was using as reference. I had blood on his face and fists, I guess it was too much for the sensors but I don't know the specifics as why it was turned down.

Looks like there is only one 1978, yes? That 2-gun Kid, which you have slotted in the '78 slot, looks like a '76 to me (and this is when he came back from the past in that Avengers/Kang storyline, if I remember correctly).

Hmmm, I needed to double check that but it looks like your right... the Two-Gun Kid has a typo, it should be 1978, not 1976.

woops.

I think you got it right with 1976:

I believe you were correct with 1976 - check out issue #143 info

April 18, 2012 | Unregistered Commenteractivitydoctor

Well 1976 could be right but I was shooting for when Two-Gun became an "Honorary" member of the Avengers. I believe 175 sept 78.

"...but I was shooting for..." ugh

Well, looks like you lucked out with the typo, since it works both ways. I was a fan of that Kang storyline, so prefer the '76!
